What I'm Doing...

I am a graduate from Cardiff university and on completing my studies I decided that I wanted to travel but also do some good at the same time. After some searching I found the Frontier project that aims to research the affect that tourism and deforestation has on the coral reefs around Madagascar.

I am participating in a volunteer programme where I will be acting as an intern helping to run the project that is mapping the reefs around the island of Nosy Be. This project aims to inform locals and government bodies on the impacts  of actions such as dynamite fishing and deforestation.

Whilst in Madagascar I will be staying on a beach camp near the village of Ambalahonko where we interact with the local community enhancing education.

During my stay I intend to keep this blog updated with the progress of my stay, images and videos
